Privacy Policy

Daily Training Session Privacy Policy

This is some more legal stuff our lawyers insisted we put in writing.

Daily Training Session (Also Known As: 'DTS') is a subsidiary of Fettle Inc.

This Privacy Policy describes DTS’s policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information. This applies simplistically at the moment exclusively through two portals of registration and involvement with the content in our product and services.

For example, you sign-up via our email form and share any emails or content of ours that you may receive or want to share.

When using any of our Services you must consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country that you reside in or create information from, your information may be used by DTS in Canada or any other country where we operate.

If you have any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at darren@dailytrainingsession.com.

Information Collection and Use

TIP: We collect and use your information to provide and measure the use of our Services and improve them over time.

Information Collected Upon Registration:

When you create or configure a DTS account, you provide some personal information, such as your email address, name, or username. This information is accessible to us and any of our employees to a degree.

Some services, may not require registration for viewing, such as today's DTS or daily training session (workout) or certain pages like this privacy policy and our terms of service.

We will not sell, trade, barter, exchange or publicly share any personally identifying information for anyone in our system. The system is opt-in, meaning by electing to input your information into the coaching program, you are thereby giving us permission to access your information. At the moment that information is incredibly minimal but success could lead to the expansion of our services.

Account Types:

There are presently two basic account types, one for members and one for paid members. Paid members are entitled to some perks and directly financially support us.

For Members (unpaid):

When you sign up for our email exercise program you only have to give us your email address. Frankly the less information of yours we have at the moment the better because it reduces our risk and yours due to a data breach of some kind.

There are no passwords, so no one has to worry about that either.

We may offer additional services in future for free that includes more information but this privacy policy will be subject to change in the future based on any direction we take the software.

For Paid Members:

When you sign up for additional perks or simply to offer your support to us, we process your payments using Stripe and you're credit card information is subject to their privacy policy.

At no point do we personally store any of your credit card information on any of our servers. Any details you see on your account on our web page is information provided and stored by Stripe.

If you join the private Facebook Group (one of the perks of paid membership) you will be subject to Facebook's Privacy Policy. What you share there is subject to our Terms of Service.

You also only need to sign up directly for DTS via an email address and that's the only personally identifiable information we ever have, given that we use a passwordless system to confirm your identity.

Again this will be subject to change and this privacy policy will be updated to reflect any other information we collect in the future.

Disqus/Commenting System:

While not turned on yet, we plan to integrate with Disqus, a third party commenting system. This should allow our unpaid members the ability to interact a little more.

You guessed it, if you want to participate on our website using Disqus, you'll be subject to the Disqus Privacy Policy.

Assume that anything you share via Disqus is basically accessible to all visitors of DTS, but especially any paid members who have back access to programs even if you (as a potentially unpaid member) no longer have access to that training session.

It is appropriate to remind you to be mindful of what you do and say in your participation on the Disqus platform.

We reserve the right to remove any publicly offensive content, as per our Terms of Service agreement.

We accept no liability for how this publicly available information is used.

We also do not accept any liability for any copyright material posted on our forums by our users, who do not represent DTS as a company.

We will, if requested, remove any copyright material.

Additional Information:

At this time, there is no additional information but this is subject to change at any time so please review this heading periodically.

Public Information:

Our Services are primarily designed to help you follow a solid structured exercise program. And we hope that you share those training sessions (AKA workouts) with select groups of people in a deliberate fashion. Most of the information you provide to us is information you are asking us to make public but to only certain individuals that also use our software. Again, currently we ask for extremely limited amounts of information.

Location Information:

Like many websites we use Google Analytics software to see how well our site is doing. This includes where our users are located. That service shares your rough location in a non-identifiable, and we currently don't ask you to share your location directly in your DTS account. This may be subject to change if we feel we need location information in future to enhance your experience (but we doubt it).

Log Data:

Our servers may automatically record information (“Log Data”) created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, the referring domain, pages visited, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, and search terms. Other actions, such as interactions with our website, other users, or other applications may also be included in Log Data.

TIP: This is here because we're cautious, but we don't actually ever look at this stuff unless we absolutely need to for debugging purposes. Meaning we don't have any firm idea currently about what (if anything) is logged.

DTS may keep track of how you interact with links across our Services including third party services and users by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to improve our Services, to help our partners/sponsors maximize their ad spend and in future may be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on as an analytics tool within our Services.

Cookies/Tokens:

Like many websites, we use cookie and token technology to verify your identity on our service. Contrary to popular opinion not all cookies or tokens are bad or malicious. Tokens are what we use to verify you via email for sign up and log-in. They allow us to restrict access to members-only and control access to our content. Cookies and tokens are small encrypted data files transferred to your web browser.

DTS may use session cookies, persistent cookies or json tokens to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services, and to improve our Services. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies from first-parties.

You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. However, given that this is how we verify you as a member, we do not recommend that you do that and can offer no alternative ways to access our content. We recommend that you leave them on, but in the event that you choose to disable them, you may not be able to access our Services.

Third Party Services:

DTS may use a variety of services hosted by third parties to help provide our Services, such as hosting various sub-domains, or a support centre, and to help us understand the use of our Services. An example of this would be the web service ‘Google Analytics,’ or ‘Amazon Web Services.’ These services may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP request.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

TIP: We do not disclose your private information except in the limited circumstances described here.

We may share or disclose your information with your consent, such as when you use a third party web client or application to access your DTS account.

Service Providers:

We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to us. We may share vague non-personally identifiable information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and provide such services, and only pursuant to obligations mirroring the protections of this privacy policy and our terms of service.

Law and Harm:

We may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect DTS’s rights or property.

Business Transfers:

In the event that DTS is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. The promises in this privacy policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity at the time of transfer.

Non-Private or Non-Personal Information:

We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information, such as your public messages or the number of users who clicked on a particular link (even if only one did).

Modifying Your Personal Information

If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools to access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account.

As per internet law such as GDPR you can permanently delete your DTS account simply by unsubscribing from our free account or cancelling your paid subscription. If that isn't convincing enough, please email darren@dailytrainingsession.com to doublecheck your deletion.

Our Policy Towards Children

Our Services are not directed to people under 13. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at darren@dailytrainingsession.com. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at https://dailytrainingsession.com/privacy-policy. We presently reserve the right to update and change this privacy policy without notification, but hope to in future be able to offer a system by which to update you the user of system wide changes.

By continuing to access or use our Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

Effective: April 01, 2020
